Pate Dawson Company Names Stansfield to Special Projects Role

GOLDSBORO, NC (July 6, 2010) – Foodservice distributor Pate Dawson Company announced today that David Stansfield has joined the company. Based at the company’s headquarters here, Stansfield will function initially as Special Projects Manager focused on product and supplier development. He will report to Pate Dawson Chief Executive Officer Malcolm ‘Mac’ Sullivan.

Stansfield brings many years of increasing responsibility in the distribution industry. The past 11 years he served as the president of Institution Food House (IFH),one of the largest regional distributors in the country. Prior to IFH, Stansfield spent many years in the Kraft/Alliant Foodservice organization progressing from a salesperson to president of several operating companies.
 
Stansfield has served on the Boards of Directors of The International Foodservice Distributors Association and Uni-Pro, the largest purchasing entity in the foodservice industry. He has also been very active in the North Carolina Restaurant & Lodging Association.
 
Pate Dawson Company, one of the largest family owned distributors in the country, operates distribution centers in Goldsboro and Greensboro, NC and in Atlanta, GA. The company serves operators in seven states.
